Meryl Rader

President


With more than 20 years of diversified public relations and marketing experience, Meryl has worked, with equal enthusiasm, for global companies and local not-for-profit organizations initiating consumer, corporate and business-to-business programs.  


Previously, Meryl was senior vice president at Porter Novelli International, where she headed the agency’s consumer marketing and corporate divisions in Chicago, and the consumer technology and healthcare divisions in San Francisco.  She was the senior counselor for numerous Fortune 500 companies including Procter & Gamble, Schering-Plough HealthCare Products, Revlon, Sprint and Alcon Laboratories.  


Meryl has directed crisis and issues management programs to positive outcomes for pharmaceutical companies and has developed public/private partnership campaigns to educate consumers about healthcare issues.   These include a sun safety education program commissioned by the American Academy of Dermatologists, Foot Health Month with the American Academy of Podiatric Medicine and an educational campaign for new mothers sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  


 

Earlier in her career, Meryl was public relations director for Advertising Age magazine, where she worked closely with national business reporters writing marketing stories.  She was the Ad Age reporter for stories about the publication and its branded activities, and wrote and co-produced a marketing entertainment segment for HBO.  Meryl spent her early career at Hill & Knowlton, where she was an account supervisor in the New York office’s consumer marketing division.

 

Meryl is the recipient of numerous awards for exceptional campaigns including the Hill Award (for Revlon), CIPRA (Dr. Scholl’s), Silver Anvil (Tinactin), and Gold Quill (Coppertone).
